Who Medetatio is for

It is for anyone who wants to study the Bible more deeply, including personal readers, small group leaders, teachers, and pastors.

Common questions

Studying and teaching

Why Berean Standard Bible?

Its licensing was the best fit for our needs. We plan to license other translations in the future!

I’m new to Bible study. Where should I start?

Start with a short passage and a question about what it says. Use Study Mode to explore the question, then read the cited verses in their surrounding context. Compare translations or follow cross references when you want to look more closely. A lesson can grow out of that study when you have something to share.

How can Medetatio support lesson or sermon preparation?

Medetatio can help with comparing passages, exploring context, and organizing observations in the lesson builder. Use those suggestions as material to examine as you prepare.

The lesson or sermon should grow out of Scripture, prayer, and careful study. Read cited passages in context and evaluate the claims being made. Responsibility for interpreting the text and teaching the people entrusted to your care remains with the teacher or pastor.

Answers and verification

How should I approach using Medetatio for Bible study?

Use it as a study aid, with Scripture governing what is believed and taught. Read the passage yourself, check references in context, and weigh suggested interpretations alongside trusted commentaries and teachers in your church. Prayer, discernment, and careful engagement with the text remain central.

Medetatio uses language models and checking systems. Those checks aim to reduce errors; every response still needs thoughtful review. The system overview explains the approach and the limits currently documented.

How is this different from a general chatbot?

Medetatio uses language models within a wider machine-learning workflow that also includes cross-encoder components and additional checking and verification systems. These are intended to reduce unsupported claims and low-quality responses.

Read the system overview and preliminary technical outline. The development team is preparing the detailed methods, their limits, and evaluation results.

Can an answer still be wrong after it has been checked?

Yes. Checking can reduce errors without eliminating them. A response may still misunderstand a passage, make an unsupported connection, or use a reference that does not establish the claim. Read the cited text in context, especially before using the material in a lesson or sermon.

What should I do if an answer seems wrong?

Use the feedback form to share the question, the response, and the passage or claim that concerns you. Explain what seems wrong or unclear so the team can review it. If a screenshot would help, send it to privacy@firstborns.org with the same details.

Support and account help

How do I suggest a feature or share feedback?

Use the feedback form. Describe what you were trying to do, where the current tools fell short, and what would make the task easier. A concrete example, such as preparing a weekly lesson or checking a difficult passage, helps us understand the need behind the suggestion.

How do I get help with a technical issue?

Email privacy@firstborns.org with the email address connected to your account, the device you’re using, and a brief description of what happened. Include the steps that led to the issue and screenshots if helpful. This gives the team context to look into the problem.

How do I delete my account?

Visit the Delete Account page for the request link and instructions on requesting deletion of your account and associated information. For an account or privacy question, contact privacy@firstborns.org.
